In this case - we start with the brief. We also believe that the true value of the brief is somewhere in the middle. It keeps us honest when scope creeps as only scope can creep. We always question the brief even as we hold it as true north. A good ‘ole why not can go a good ‘ole long way.
There are many different ways to approach the design or redesign of visual identity (iD). Brand purpose, positioning or activity can’t be boiled down to a logo or a symbol. That’s why we build usable toolkits - not logos. The creative must be able to flex across screens.
A perfect, shining product didn’t start there. Sometimes, its journey takes longer than expected and sometimes there’s no option but to start again. That’s why we iterate and then iterate some more. It allows for multiple streams of work with coherent brand narrative.
